studies since the end of the twentieth century: performance and translation.
Next IssuesWe welcome articles that cover topics related to the distinct regions and cultures of the continent. While we are based in Northeast Asia, we seek to examine issues of significance in a wider Asian context that includes Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Central Asian republics of the former Soviet Union.

Asia and Europe have long been recognized as the source for the majority of the religions and philosophies, the ideologies and worldviews, the aesthetic styles and fashions, that served to shape classical antiquity and prepared the way for the coming of the modern age. At times, this relationship has been seen as the site of mutual benefit.
